I moved to the Central Coast 5 years ago when I retired as a High School Career and Vocational Counselor. Being new to the area, I was looking for a hobby or interest to fill my time when I noticed a glass fusion class offered in the San Luis Obispo Adult Education catalog. I was very intrigued and excited to jump in!
Once I made my first piece at Designs by Ja9 Studio in Arroyo Grande I was hooked! Under the mentorship of Janine Stillman, owner of Designs by Ja9, I have enjoyed learning many techniques and blending that with my years as a quilter. I have a new passion and devote my spare time in learning and honing this wonderful art form.
Kay Vee Glass Designs will be part of the ARTS Obispo's Open Studios Art Tour, October 12 & 13 as well as October 19 & 20 10am to 5pm.
